1. Information we collect

When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your email address, display name, avatar, and a provider account identifier. When you use the service, we store the markdown notes and topics you upload, along with the review questions, your answers, scores, and feedback generated during study sessions.

2. How we use your information

Your notes and answers are processed — including via AI/machine-learning models — to generate review questions, evaluate your answers, provide feedback, and schedule future reviews. Account information is used to authenticate you and associate your content with your account.

3. Third-party services

We rely on the following third parties to operate Recall Forge:

• Google and GitHub, for sign-in authentication.
• OpenAI, to process notes and answers and generate questions, feedback, and scores.

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

4. Data retention

We retain your account, notes, and review data for as long as your account is active. If you would like your data deleted, contact us as described below.

5. Data security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies

Recall Forge uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in after you authenticate with Google or GitHub. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not require consent under applicable law. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

7. Your rights (EU/EEA users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

8. Children's privacy

Recall Forge is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Recall Forge after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
